Pip value calculator
See what one pip is worth in US dollars for any forex pair and trade size, and what a stop of that many pips would cost against your limits.
One pip is worth
$10.00
- Standard lot (1.00)
- $10.00
- Mini lot (0.10)
- $1.00
- Micro lot (0.01)
- $0.10
A 20-pip stop at this size risks $200.00, which is 40% of the $500 daily loss limit on Classic.
How it's calculated
Pip value = trade size in lots x 100,000 units x pip size, converted to US dollars. A pip is 0.0001, or 0.01 for pairs priced in yen. For pairs priced in US dollars, such as EUR/USD, one pip on a standard lot is always $10. For other pairs the value moves with the exchange rate, so it is converted at the day's reference rate (price used: 1.13550).
