What happens the moment I breach a limit?

The challenge fails. Hitting the daily loss limit fails it, and so does hitting the maximum loss. It takes effect at once: no grace period and no partial reset.

What can I trade, and on what terms?

Forex, indices, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies and prediction markets, on one simulated account in USD. You choose your leverage when you buy: 1:10, 1:25, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200 or 1:500. The price is the same at every leverage. Higher leverage magnifies both gains and losses. News trading is allowed, and positions may be held overnight and over the weekend. Simulated trades carry trading costs, as they would on a live account: a commission when a trade opens and when it closes, a price markup on some symbols, and holding costs on positions kept overnight. Each symbol's costs are shown on the platform.
